We're reimagining fairer,
more sustainable travel

Travel that benefits all; our environment,
ecosystems, local partners, and travellers.

Our commitment

In a changing world, never has reimagining travel been more important.

Our purpose here at TravelLocal is to connect people to reimagine travel. Now, as we face a global climate emergency, never has reimagining travel been more important. In a changing world, travel needs to change as well and we’re working hard to ensure that travel remains a wonderfully positive experience for the world.

The challenges we face as an industry aren’t easy to overcome and whilst we are continuing to work on many improvements we don’t have all the answers. We’re learning as we go, are optimistic and are taking significant steps on the path towards genuine sustainability.

We’re committed to net-zero by 2050

As signatories of the Glasgow Declaration we’re publicly commited to a 50% reduction in emissions by 2030, and to reach net-zero as soon as possible before 2050.

Fund For Good

As part of our commitment to being a force for good in the travel industry, in 2023 we decided to set up the TravelLocal Fund For Good. This fund will be distributed to charities around the world that are doing crucial work to alleviate challenges like environmental degradation, wildlife conservation, and access to clean drinking water. We considered more than 6,000 charities worldwide in an effort to find those that would engage our customers, our Local Experts, and the TravelLocal team.

Climate Action Plan 2023

The heart of our business lies in ensuring that travel is a force for good in the world and that’s why we were one of the signatories of the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism. We have set out our sustainable goals for 2023, our plan to reach them, and an overview of what we plan to do in the year ahead.
